After logging into ClaimsWire, a typical claims manager will see the status of all claims and assignments under his authority and control. Clicking on any section of the assignment dashboard displays for the manager a detailed list of tasks to be performed.

Although CW is designed for day-to-day claims and assignments handling, during times of catastrophe the system has powerful tools to handle the additional work load. One example is the Mass Assignment screen (below). This screen allows managers to assign hundreds of claims at a time to adjusters in the field.
Claims can be filtered and/or sorted in multiple ways, such as by zip code or claim type, and grouped to fit the abilities of the adjusters assigned to them.
Once a claim(s) is assigned to an adjuster, CW will email the recipient, alerting them to the fact that they have a new assignment(s) waiting.
Assignments are downloaded directly into the adjusters’, Simsol FOR ADJUSTERS, estimating software with all claim, insured and policy information pre-filled for the adjuster. This eliminates the possibility of input errors on the part of the adjuster.

The CW Examiner Review screen enables managers and claims examiners to review all PDF documents and reports uploaded by their field staffs. Reports and documents are reviewed and examiners can make notes, send them back to the adjuster for correction before sending them off to the claim or assignment originator.
In addition to PDF’s, CW sends the claim or assignment originator (i.e. insurance carrier or servicing company) an XML data packet for the electronic transmission of claim information back to their web service for use in the originator’s computer systems.

CW comes complete with both a claim and personal diary system. Managers can set claim milestone and mandatory report due dates for any claim or assignment in the system. CW will track dates and send adjusters email warnings when reports are due as well as alert managers when diary items are in the warning period.

CW offers clients a claim and assignment billing module for creating invoices and tracking adjuster commissions and/or retainages. Billing reports are also available in this module for detailing payments to adjusters.
